Learn about the importance of sustainability in our built environment during a June 21 workshop.

USGBC Arizona and the Tucson Emerging 2030 District (TE2030D) will facilitate the half-day workshop, "ADVANCE & TE2030D Sustainability and Built Environment Workshop: The environmental impact and the dream of a better interaction through the 2030 Districts" at the 2017 Conference of the Association for Environmental and Sciences, hosted by The University of Arizona from June 21-24.

USGBC Arizona and TE2030D also will offer a guided tour of the District on June 21. Workshop and tour participants will learn how Tucson's buildings are contributing to an improved environment, wellness and sense of community.

ADVANCE makes green building technical resources and expertise available to organizations, such as schools, nonprofits and faith-based organizations. 2030 Districts are urban, high-performance building districts designed by the Architecture 2030 think tank as private/public partnerships committed to reducing energy use, water use and transportation emissions.

Register for the workshop and tour through the AESS Conference website. Early Bird rates are available through May 1, 2017. Conference attendees will better understand the current priorities of the building design, construction and performance and the tools for a better interaction with our natural environment.
