Seminar

GBCI invites you to attend our upcoming event, A Sustainable EDGE, at the ITC Windsor in Bengaluru on 25 April 2018. Come learn about the EDGE green building program as the building industry experts from the architecture, developer community and government share their thoughts & experiences on how it presents a unique opportunity for the India’s housing market.

An innovation of IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, EDGE is a green building certification system focused on making buildings more resource efficient. EDGE is a fast, simple and affordable way to scale up resource efficient buildings in emerging markets.

GBCI, the premier organization independently recognizing excellence in green business industry performance and practice globally, has partnered with IFC to address the challenges emerging markets face, such as lack of affordable and resource efficient housing. EDGE has great potential for the housing market in India because it simply makes economic sense.

The rating system provides a quantifiable business case that resonates with sectors of the market that have been slow to change, encouraging more affordable housing in high-growth, urban areas and making green building and design accessible for middle and low-income housing. Deployed at scale, it can also help build more sustainable cities.

Please register for the event below to confirm your attendance. If you have any questions, please contact Rohith Ravula, GBCI at 9000141622 or rravula@gbci.org.
