Come tour Indy Urban Hardwood with the USGBC Indiana Central Branch. We will have a discussion with the Indy Urban Hardwood team and the architect from the Michigan Road Library branch on the use of local hardwood in this anticipated LEED Silver project. After tour there will be a short presentation and networking opportunity at Center Point Brewing. 

The tour will be followed by discussion and networking at Centerpoint Brewing. Food and beer is included in this event. 

Learning objectives

  • Learn about the reuse of local lumber to produce hard wood products in Indianapolis. 
  • Learn about a local project that is using wood from onsite in the building. 
  • Learn how to apply regional materials to the Building Product Disclosure and Optimization – Sourcing of Raw Materials. 
  • Example product selection and application for use in the Low-Emitting Materials credit. 
  • Example product selection and application for use in the Building Product - Disclosure Environmental Product Declarations and Material Ingredients. 
  • Tour and presentation is approved for 1 LEED BD+C Specific CE and 1 AIA HSW/LU.
