Join the USGBC Colorado Metropolitan Branch for an interactive and educational building tour of Denizen, Denver's first market-rate LEED Platinum rental building!

Denizen is part of the redeveloping 75-acre Alameda Station light-rail corridor, one of the most prominent transit oriented development projects in the front range. Amenities for the 275-unit residential complex include energy efficient and low water use appliances, high end finishes, a roof-top community garden, a car-share program, walkability to local restaurants and shops, and proximity to a major light rail station.

Learn and see how green building and sustainable principles were incorporated into all aspects of the design and construction of this green urban infill project. The tour will be led by Dan Cohen, the Development Manager for D4 Urban, and Jeff Slaugh, the LEED consultant (US Eco-Logic) for the project.

You can earn one GBCI CE hour and/or one AIA HSW Learning Unit by attending this event.

Learning objectives:

  1. Review the credits used to achieve LEED Platinum for the project
  2. Learn about how the urban infill project utilized its location to achieve sustainable sites credits
  3. Hear about the sustainable design and construction approach, challenges faced, success stories and see the finished product
  4. Learn about the unique stormwater management incorporated into the design of the project
  5. Presenters
