USGBC Minnesota Quarter 3 Meeting: Regenerative Design

Starts On - July 18, 2017 - 11:30am
Ends On - July 18, 2017 - 1:00pm

Join USGBC Minnesota for our Quarter 3 member meeting, "Regenerative Design: the Intersection of Resilience and Sustainability."

This event will be held live in the Twin Cities at HGA Architects and Engineers (420 North 5th Street, #100, Minneapolis, MN 55401), and a live webinar will be held by the Northeast Branch at LHB Duluth (21 W Superior St. Suite 500, Duluth, MN 55802).

How do we envision a new role for design in a world that is increasingly digital, global and devoid of connections to place, people and the natural world? How do architects consider an integral design process merging the designed world or "technosphere" with the life support system or "ecosphere" of the planet? How do we meet human needs, create delight and inspiration while enhancing the potential of natural and social systems? Can buildings be analogs for living systems? How do we create architecture in a complex world that is both sustainable and resilient?

Continuing education hours — This program qualifies for 1 GBCI CE hour and 1 AIA LU/HSW CE Hour.
