Enjoy an evening at the beautiful LEED Platinum Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach. Converse with friends and colleagues as we honor Orange County companies and individuals committed to sustainable practices.

In addition to the awards, a keynote will be delivered by a representative of the City of Anaheim, a two-time Eco Award Recipient. There will be a special tribute to Visionary Green Building Leader Malcolm Lewis, presented by his friends and recognition of our local LEED Fellows and Eco Award Judges.

2017 Eco Awards

The awards will honor the accomplishments in sustainable practices and educate the Orange County public about sustainable places and businesses in the county. Any organization or company located within Orange County that falls into one of the award categories may submit an award application.

Apply today for the2017 Eco Awards, “Greenest in the County,” which honors outstanding sustainable buildings and businesses in the region.

2017 Eco Award Categories

  1. 3rd Eco-City Award
  2. Most Sustainable Company in Orange County>50 employees (includes manufacturing, innovation, surf, law, accounting, etc.)
  3. Most Sustainable Company in Orange County<50 employees (includes manufacturing, innovation, surf, law, accounting, etc.)
  4. Most Sustainable land plan, landscape design, or open space in Orange County
  5. Most Sustainable NGO
  6. Healthiest Hotel, multi-family or overnight accommodation (includes dorm rooms or student housing, and multi-family housing)
  7. Most Sustainable Restaurant/Retail
  8. Most Sustainable Home (single family)
  9. Most Sustainable or Healthiest School
  10. Eco-Leader (most Sustainable professional, educator or elected official)

Submissions must include: application form, organization statement, application and review criteria.

Note on Categories #1-9:
Submit an organization statement, in 500 or fewer words, about your organization/company that includes 1) A description of your organization, including products, services, and mission statement; and 2) Your organization's connection to Orange County.

Note on Category #10:
For individuals, only submit the application form and a statement in 1000 words or fewer that addresses the following: the person's contribution to sustainability and green building in Orange County, including philosophy, efforts, commitment, and achievements in Leadership in Sustainability; Energy, Water, and Waste; and Innovation.
