WaterSense labeled homes are designed to reduce residential water use indoors and out — allowing homes to use less water and energy, and increasing savings on utility bills.

In fact, compared to a typical home, a WaterSense labeled home can save a family of four 50,000 gallons of water a year or more. That's enough to wash 2,000 loads of laundry and could amount to utility bill savings of up to $600 each year. Participants will be introduced to the criteria required and the steps needed to achieve a WaterSense labeled home.

  • Know where to start with the certification process and how it provides homeowners with confidence
  • Articulate how the outdoor water budget helps with LEED WE performance pathway v4 HOMES & Midrise
  • Understand the basics of watersense flow rate requirements and how they compare to WE indoor water use v4 Homes & Midrise
  • See how watersense can provide resources of new v4 WE prerequisites v4 Homes & Midrise

Continuing education (CE) hours —This course is good for 1 LEED Specific CE Credit (Homes) and is available for USGBC Ohio Members only. For USGBC Ohio Membership, please visit our webpage.

Attendees must be registered by 10:30 a.m. the day of the webinar. A link to the WebEx Meeting will be emailed to you from Eventbrite 60 minutes prior to the viewing. Attendees can view the webinar from any computer with functioning audio and video.
