WELL Building Standard - Professional Practice Application


For the design community, sustainability includes measures for resource reduction, pollution prevention, and energy efficiency within the built environment, just to name a few. It has been said that these measures are the first wave of sustainability. The second wave, is diving deeper into how these aspects impact human health and wellbeing. In this presentation, you will learn about practical applications of The WELL Building Standard™ and further about the rigorous on site Performance Verification that differentiates this certification program from others in the market.


Clare Epke, Manager of Sustainability + Wellness Services, NORESCO

Clare Epke has a strong passion for sustainability and resource conservation with more than 20 years of experience in building design, sustainability consulting, and project management. She is a creative and innovative problem solver with a positive attitude. She has the ability to effectively communicate, competently coordinate, and intelligently collaborate as a member of interdisciplinary, cross-functional team for the betterment of her projects. Prior to joining the team at NORESCO, Clare was one of the first WELL Assessors for Green Building Certification Inc. (GBCI) and has been working with projects pursuing WELL Certification since 2015.
