Successfully managing the LEED documentation process requires specific knowledge, tools and skills.

This half-day workshop led by John Bendon is based off of the LEED Project Management course that GreenStep developed and teaches through UC Berkeley Extension. Bendon is a LEED AP Homes professional, Certified Energy Rater under RESNET and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). He previously served as USGBC Hawaii's vice chair and currently sits on the Maui Workforce Investment Board, and the Board of Directors for Carden Academy of Maui.

This course is designed for professionals who are somewhat familiar with the LEED rating system, but who are looking to go beyond the basics to gain a deeper understanding of the unique processes involved with managing a LEED project, including documenting several of the most common credits from start to finish.

You'll learn how to facilitate an eco-charrette, navigate LEED Online, troubleshoot potential setbacks, develop useful tools for managing the documentation process and evaluate the cost to benefit ratio of various design strategies. As part of the workshop, participants will work through several detailed credit calculations.

The ultimate goal of our LEED Project Management workshop is to empower you with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to make an immediate impact on future LEED projects.
