This presentation demonstrates the difference between HRV, ERV and Smart Ventilation Systems for the residential construction. This smart ventilation system is not so common especially in residential construction. So i recommend this for any one who does residential design and construction. There are a lot of data both for HRV/ERV and smart ventilation. Several studies have been quoted in support of good IAQ and effects of bad IAQ. Smart Ventilation measures pollutants and Comfort conditions before making operational decisions with user inputs. I wish the presentation did go in more details how the sensors work and whats the maintenance, user education of these required to operate them in a long run.
But overall its a great presentation with lots of research data.

This is a great course about indoor air quality and residential ventilation systems.
It explains some of the factors which affect indoor air quality and the importance of good IAQ. It provides a description of HRV, ERV and Smart Ventilation Systems and gives information about the performance of these systems in different climates. Plenty of data is presented in graphs which is very helpful.
I can recommend this course to anybody who would like to learn about residential ventilation systems, especially to Passive House designer/consultants.

This is a very well-structured course regarding residential ventilation systems. Enabling an understanding of the different options (HRV, ERV, SVS), it is highly recommended for engineers involved in sustainable residential projects. Having that said, a strong engineering background is highly recommended in order to understand the course content.
