Looks like the main part of the work they did is getting data from DSO, that is by far the hardest part in Europe as the situation is vastly fragmented. It may be more feasible in the UK than in other countries as there should be a data exchange platform with customer access according to this report https://docstore.entsoe.eu/Documents/News/THEMA_Report_2017-03_web.pdf

This is a great course which really emphasizes the importance of utilizing both free and paid software to assist practitioners in spending capital improvement budgets effectively. I found it interesting that benchmarking a building against itself provides little in the way of demonstrating raw improvement in energy efficiency, therefore, to be effective in capital improvements, one must compare their building to buildings of similar types. I would recommend this course to LEED practitioners, building managers, facilities managers, energy modelers, and commissioning agents.

The content is good. But the presented picture is vague and I hardly see what the graphs are about.

Wonderful graphics, well explained concepts. Question re CO2 benchmarking whether natural gas vs. other energy sources impacts compared within or across energy source, e.g., just basing CO2 on btus or on true CO2 equivalency where methane emitted has extremely high CO2E vs. fossil fuels whose contribution via CO2 emissions.

Benchmarking by collecting the utility data will be helpful in reduction in the use of energy and retrofitting the energy systems. Utility benchmarks will be ultimately helpful to the occupants in reducing their bills and maintaining healthier homes and buildings.
This course clearly explains the types, methods of benchmarking, and various types of collecting data and how to compare them for the use. Monitoring trends in energy use will guide the property management people and occupants ultimately allows to check on operational and usage strategies.
This course has lot of graphs and data which will be very useful. The learners will understand how to use free programs like EPA Portfolio Manager.
I recommend this course to Builders, Facility Managers and Home Owners.

This course is recommended for property owners and managers who wish to learn about the benefits of tracking utility data. The course describes what bench-marking is, how it can be accomplished in a few different ways and relationships to programs that require data submissions. The course shows many graphs with detailed information for how tracking can show spikes that may indicate leaks, etc. I would recommend this course also for professionals that work on multi-family homes to learn how to discuss data tracking with developers and builders.
