Realise that it's a live demo but some static notes on the presentation would be helpful to share with others. I'm going to play around with this and will undoubtedly have questions. Great tool!

I guess it will be good if we have the Energy and Water Audit Tool to practice at the time of the presentation. Otherwise, it is difficult to follow.

This webinar would be most appropriate for residential multifamily building representatives interested in achieving O&M savings. It is basically a step-by-step of how to use computer modeling software to save money and resources. Limitations of the class are that the audio and visual quality are poor- especially during the examples of how to use EZ Retrofit tool. Also, the free software will not work on mac-based computers. This is not the fault of the presenters, but as mac user I was not able to follow along or practice on the software.

The course starts with a brief introduction to the Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future and the history of the EZ Retrofit tool. This is followed by a discussion on the US affordable housing market and some general barriers to effective energy and water efficiency upgrades.

The main part of the course is a detailed demonstration of the EZ Retrofit tool, walking viewers through a project example to help understand what information is needed to get started, and how the tool makes calculations and recommends improvement measures. The course concludes with a case study of building already successfully using the EZ Retrofit tool. There is a long Q&A session at the end of the recording that is also worth listening into.

Overall, the presentation provides a very practical look into the EZ Retrofit tool, and I would highly recommend to multifamily property managers who are looking to start out on the journey of making their buildings more efficient.

This presentation is given by representatives from Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF) and is an introduction to and in-depth demonstration SAHF’s EZ Retrofit tool. The speakers discuss why cost-effective energy and water efficiency upgrades are meaningful in the affordable housing market. The EZ Retrofit tool considers how building systems can work together to effectively reduce energy and water use and costs and includes data entry, audit report and results. The audit report includes streamlined retrofit scope and savings summary impact. There is also a summary of additional benefits including operations and maintenance, improved indoor air quality, occupant comfort and health.

This presentation is Intermediate and provides a very detailed demonstration of the tool. I would recommend this presentation to auditors and multifamily property owners and managers.
