How do I get recognized as a full-time employee of a member company?


First, create a user account. Then on your account page, click the “account” link in the left-hand navigation, and select “membership.” That will take you to the membership page.

There you will see a section called “organization membership.” If your company is not a member of USGBC, you will see an opportunity to become a member. If you know your company is a member, select “connect to membership account.”

Find your company by using its member ID (the unique identifier of your company’s membership) or by doing a search. Using your company’s member ID allows you to connect immediately to your company’s account. If you search by organization name and select your company, a company administrator will need to approve you — unless your email matches your company’s domain, then you will be immediately approved.

You must be a full-time employee for your company to approve you.
