Inquiry

The project\'s owner anticipates adhering to the county\'s standard waste collection procedures. This involves distributing small waste receptacles throughout the fire station. Each local waste collection area will have a container for paper and another container for comingled waste. At periodic intervals, this refuse will be dumped into larger centralized collection units (one for paper and one for comingled waste) located at the site\'s dumpster enclosure outside the fire station.\nA waste management company will provide collection and recycling services from the site. Items such as paper, corrugated cardboard, glass, plastics and metals will be diverted from the waste stream and sorted by the local hauler.\nPlease confirm that the planned waste management process meets the intent of this prerequisite and a designated recycling room does not need to be located within the building envelope.\n
