Inquiry

I am requesting clarification regarding "Who Can Be the Commissioning Authority" for a project. I would like my firm to provide both LEED consulting and full commissioning services to a project owner. Our firm will have a contract directly with the owner, not with the A/E or general contractor. The LEED consulting work would be comprised of completing LEED online templates and gathering required documents from the design and construction teams. Per the "Who Can Be the Commissioning Authority" document, Item 8. Independent consultant contracted to Owner, is allowed to provide Enhanced Commissioning, however the document appears not to preclude that firm or individual from performing LEED Consulting work as described above. Additionally, the other items within the document preclude employees with construction related responsibilities, futher enforcing my view the Commissioning Authority can provide these additional services as they are not construction or A/E responsibilities.
