Inquiry

We are looking for clarification with regard to credit equivalency for this credit. The St. Louis Art Museum Expansion is an addition to the existing campus located in the middle of a 1,293 acre park. Our project is 3/4 mile from a light rail station, and has both a bus stop and a Park shuttle stop within a 1/4 mile (located in front of the new building entry). The year-round bus stop only serves one bus line, however, the next stop on its route is directly attached to the light rail station; connecting the passengers to the light rail, as well as several other bus lines. The Park shuttle currently runs seasonally (May - September) providing access to and from the light rail station as well as other amenities within the park. We believe this is sufficient for meeting the intent of the credit and is supported by C.I.R. Ruling 5/3/2005: "The situation described in your narrative is acceptable for credit achievement as per credit ruling 2/5/04 and others. Since the bus line that serves the school also serves a metro rail station that is only slightly outside the 0.5 mile radius, the bus line can count both as a shuttle to the rail station and a stand alone mode of commuting to the school."
