Inquiry

For part (c), can the requirement related to backer board be satisfied by installing paperfaced backer board that is covered by a membrane that meets ANSI A118.10 and ASTM 96? A previous ruling allowed this prerequisite to be met using a coating that passes ASTM D 3273 with a score of 10, but that standard is not applicable to membranes.
