Inquiry

BEQ P-301 is the first of several new Bachelor Enlisted Quarters to be constructed at Naval Station Bremerton. The project includes upgrades to sewer and electrical system infrastructures that will eventually serve the entire campus as well as P-301. This infrastructure work is outside the physical boundary of the P-301 project site.\n\nAccording to USGBC Administrative Ruling of June 1, 2001, such infrastructure improvements can contribute to achieving LEED points for the project as long as they are applied consistently across the project. As such, we will include the cost of materials for this infrastructure work in our calculations for all Materials and Resources (MR) credits.\n\nOur question: Must the physical area of the infrastructure work site also be added to the total area of the site and included in the calculations for credits in the Sustainable Site category?
