Inquiry

In accordance with Credit MR 2.1 and 2.2, the contractor is requesting an alternate method to divert landfill trash that can not be recycled. The contractor proposes to pay the additional cost to transport non recyclable trash to a power plant to be incinerated and converted into electrical energy. This effort will run in parallel and not reduce the commitment of sorting recyclable and reusable materials. Products that contain a mixture of materials that can not be separated for recycling are the type of materials proposed for incineration. The power plant proposed has approved EPA pollution control devices.
