Inquiry

We are designing a 3 story, 18,943 SF Public Radio Station Facility for a 0.20 acre site in the Historic District of the South Side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The site is on a historic square (circa 1812) with a market house at its center. This square is in the process of being revitalized. Our project is the first of a number of projects planned that will increase the density (infill underdeveloped or vacant lots). The master plan is a result of efforts by the local non-profit developmental corporation, the city of Pittsburgh, and various other entities including PASA (Pennsylvania Association of Sustainable Agriculture).\n\nThe project density works out to 93,315 SF/acre. Using the density radius and filling in the density boundary table, we come up short of the 60,000 SF/acre requirement for the project area density. \n\nHowever there are 2 new projects being deigned by us (one of which already has approval from the Historic Review Committee to proceed) that positively affect the density calculations.\n\nThe project is located 1
