Inquiry

The purpose of this CIR is to seek confirmation that the team structure planned for this project meets the technical requirements of this prerequisite. The Sarasota Police Headquarters project consists of new construction in excess of 50,000s.f. Project Development, Inc. (PDI) is the Owners Representative for Sarasota Police Headquarters project. PDI has an agreement with Architects Design Group, Inc (ADG) to provide A/E services. TLC Engineering for Architecture (TLC), Fort Myers office was contracted by ADG as a sub-consultant to provide HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and technology systems design. TLC is based in Orlando, Florida with branch offices in nine locations; seven in the state of Florida as well as offices in Nashville, Tennessee and Dallas, Texas. PDI has contracted TLC, Fort Myers directly to provide LEED Administration and Sustainable Guidance Services as well as Commissioning Services. The Commissioning Services are limited to those necessary to achieve E&A, prerequisite 1. TLC Team member(s) involved in both LEED Administration and Commissioning will not be involved in the design for this project. The CxA performing tasks required will be a credentialed CxA from an office other than TLC\'s Fort Myers office. The CxA will have NO project responsibilities other than commissioning. Referring to USGBC document "Who Can Be the Commissioning Authority", 01/03/06 LEED 2.2 Cx Subcommittee; we understand that the project team structure described herein meets the definition of a disinterested employee as defined by LEED 2.2 Cx Subcommittee and therefore meets the intent and requirements of this credit.
