Inquiry

The existing site utilized for this development was an asphalt parking lot. The new facility will incorporate landscaping and locally typical on-site retainage using retention/collection basins and "injection wells" (drywells) which are typical for the Phoenix, Arizona area. This method encourages the natural process of evaporation and infiltration. The new development design will not only provide no net increase in the rate and quantity of stormwater runoff, but will actually result in reduction in stormwater runoff. Is this locally typical method of on-site retention acceptable to capture this credit since it is not addressed in the Reference Guide as a "Design Approach"?
