District Energy Systems This inquiry pertains to a LEED project that is part of a 5-city block urban redevelopment. As part of that redevelopment program, we have entered into a contract with an Energy Services Company (ESCO) to house a 22,600 sq.ft. district chilled water system on the roof of one building of the project. The energy system has a design capacity of 17,000 tons of cooling. We will use a total of 4,500 tons on this project and separate LEED projects in the surrounding 4 blocks.
