Inquiry

Exceptional Performance of SSc6.1: Stormwater Management This project sits on an urban site with an existing level of imperviousness of 87%. The developed imperviousness will be 93%. All of the stormwater that falls on the building will be channeled to a 52,000 gal detention basin at the B4 level. This water will then be pumped up to the upper levels to be used for irrigation and to flush the water closets. Average Total Annual Rainfall = 40 in/yr Annual Rainfall for Actual Data Used = 40.23 in/yr Predevelopment Annual Runoff = 1,074,864 gal 25% of Predevelopment Runoff = 268,724 gal (per SS Credit 6.1) Theoretical Gallons Collected = 1,053,141 gal (based on Actual Rainfall Data) % of Predevelopment Runoff Reused = 98% Gallons Exceeding Requirements = 784,417 gal We are requesting an Innovation Credit based on vastly exceeding the 25% reduction in volume of flow required by SS Credit 6.1 and reuse of the captured rainwater, thereby reducing the amount of potable water consumed by the building.
