Focus of Interpretation: High-albedo & vegetated roofing material coverage area increase. We submit the following for consideration of (1) Innovation in Design point: Increasing the combined roof coverage area percentage as defined by Sustainable Sites Credit 7.2, Landscape & Exterior Design to Reduce Heat Islands, Roof from 75% to 95%. The expanded area of coverage consists of roofing materials complying with both the Energy Star label requirements & have emissivity of at least 0.9 as tested per ASTM E408-71.
