Inquiry

Innovation Credit - Groundwater Reuse Due to the site constraints of our urban project, the lowest parking level will be located approximately 10\'-0" feet below the water table. We have incorporated a collection system that takes the water away from the building in order to prevent the groundwater from entering the building and damaging the foundation. Survey information from our geotechnical engineer indicates that the flow of groundwater could be up to 100 gpm. Under normal project conditions that groundwater would be channeled to the city stormwater system, potentially adding a large load to the city\'s infrastructure. Instead we are proposing to pump that groundwater into our stormwater collection tank, which utilizes the stormwater to flush the water closets and the urinals. Will this reuse of groundwater that would otherwise end up in the city infrastructure qualify for an Innovation Credit?
