Inquiry

Our project is located in a remote part of the Grand Teton National Park. Waste and recycling collection facilities are kept to a minimum in the building and on site and in accordance to park policy, it is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility-even trash bins aren\'t provided for visitors so there will also be no recycling bins. There is one full time occupant in the building, the park ranger, and he will have a waste bin by his desk that he will remove and sort when needed. The waste that he generates will be minimal, consisting mostly of lunch items which he will remove and sort trash from recyclables when needed on his own accord. To promote recycling in the facility, despite not providing facilities, we intend to a provide visitor education display describing the Parks efforts to reduce waste and encourage recycling by describing proper procedures and providing a map indicating the nearest recycling facilities. The park will also educate the park ranger on the benefits and importance of recycling. Will these efforts meet the intent of this credit?
