Green Building Alliance (GBA) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in LEED Platinum offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1993, GBA inspires the creation of healthy, high performing places for everyone by providing leadership that connects knowledge, transformative ideas, and collaborative action. One of the oldest regional green building organizations, GBA was the first U.S. Green Building Council affiliate, and is now a USGBC chapter. GBA services the 26 counties of Western PA through 3 Branch areas: Greater Pittsburgh, Laurel Highlands, and Northwest Pennsylvania.

Green Building Alliance (GBA) is devoted to helping Western Pennsylvania find smart solutions for the built environment. Believing that green building just makes good sense, we strive to integrate environmentally responsible, high-performance green building practices into the design, construction, and operation of buildings throughout our region.Green Building Alliance is a nonprofit organization that inspires the creation of healthy, high performing places for everyone. Headquartered in Pittsburgh and serving the 26 counties of western Pennsylvania, GBA has been a national leader in healthy and high performing buildings and places.
GBA advances our mission through four main initiatives: Knowledge Network (education, networking, & technical assistance), Pittsburgh 2030 District, Green & Healthy Schools Academy, and Policy & Advocacy.
