Alicia Ravetto FAIA, LEED Fellow, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP and ASES Fellow is a registered architect in NC and combines her skills as an architectural design expert with her experience in planning energy efficiency, conservation, and clean renewable energy features to design high-performance buildings. Throughout her career, she has been particularly committed to designing buildings that will reduce carbon emissions. She is the Project Sustainability Leader at DPR construction and is passionately driven to ensure DPR’s leadership in sustainability practices in operations and construction. Alicia facilitates the process of third-party certifications by participating in meetings, being the champion for sustainability and managing the LEED or WELL documentation process. She verifies that drawings and specifications reflect the desired LEED credits or WELL features pursued and provides coaching to the design team and client throughout design and construction phases. Before joining DPR construction, her own practice ALICIA RAVETTO ARCHITECT, established in 1997, was a nationally and internationally recognized green building consulting firm based in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Alicia Ravetto grew up in Argentina where she received her professional degree in Architecture. She lived in sunny and dry Mendoza for six years doing research in passive solar design and daylighting which set the tone for her professional career. She came to the US in 1985 as a Fulbright scholar to pursue her Master of Architecture at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Alicia moved to NC in 1987 and lives in her high-performance solar house that she designed and built in 1996 with her husband Paul Konove. She has received the NC Solar Hall of Fame award for expertise and leadership in education and architectural design of solar buildings; SBIC Best Practices in Sustainability award, the California Building Industry Foundation Award, the Sustainable NC Business award Green Building and the 2011 Gail Lindsey Sustainability Award.
