Director, Residential Technical Solutions
Asa Foss has been the residential technical director since joining the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2009. Mr Foss is responsible for implementing existing standards while developing periodic updates to make them better. Examples include the creation of LEED Multifamily Midrise 2010, development of LEED v4 Homes & Multifamily Midrise, and the multifamily adaptation to LEED v4 Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance.
Prior to joining the USGBC in 2009, Mr. Foss designed and implemented Maryland Energy Administration’s (MEA) award winning Maryland Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program, launched in December 2007.
Mr Foss is a national expert on the single family and multifamily green building industry. He also is a subject matter expert on healthy, green and energy-efficient renovations.
He regularly presents on the residential green building industry, and is often interviewed by newspapers and magazines on green building trends and how homeowners can improve their current homes.
