Carrie Black

Chief Sustainability and Resilience Officer

Valencia College

Orlando, Florida

Carrie-Lynn Black is the Director of Energy Conservation and Sustainability at
Valencia College. She oversees the sustainability aspect of the operations
for the College’s eight campuses. Prior to joining Valencia, she launched
and led the sustainability efforts at Jacksonville University, improving
building energy efficiency and waste diversion. She also previously worked as
the Program Director for the Green Team Project, an environmental nonprofit,
where she developed and managed a sustainable workplace designation program.
Carrie-Lynn has a Master of Science in Environmental Planning and Management
from Johns Hopkins University. She is excited to be part of the Board for the
Central Florida Region, having been a Board Member for the Northeast Florida
Region for six years. Carrie-Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband and
daughter outdoors and visiting farmers markets.
