BS Mechanical Engineering from Los Andes University (1993) with Specialization in Strategic Marketing from the College of Studies in High Management, CESA (2001), both in Bogota. 26 years experience in manufacturing, operations, marketing, sales and consulting in the industry. He started his career working in projects, plant operations and commissioning & Startups of air separation cryogenics plants in the USA and Colombia for Praxair INC. Later, he worked for over 11 years in the market for industrial water treatment and Indoor air Quality & environments in marketing, financial marketing, consulting and corporate sales for the industry in Latin America at Nalco INC ( Colombia and Brazil).
RISK Assessor environmental hygiene- (Indoor air quality) Consultant accredited LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) by GBC (Green Building Council) in 2008.
Currently working as Operations manager of Setri Sustentabilidad SAS since 2008, the green engineering leader consulting & Commissioning, company in Colombia, with participation in 50 LEED ( GBCi)certified projects , 40 Pre-certified, including the first 3 Leed Platinum on different category. Also worked in 20 EDGE certified construction projects ( IFC – World Bank) ( currently 5 Certified)
He did also participated into the establishment of the Colombian Green Building Council as a founder member company, and participated in the board of directors, technical committees and Vice president ( 2012-2018) and member of the executive committee of the Bogota chamber of commerce- Construction cluster. Currently member of the executive Committee of the chamber of Construction in Colombia- Camacol2020-2021.
Member of the LEED international roundtable since 2012-2017.
Invited as speaker at University of los Andes and University Javeriana in Bogota. Invited as member of the jury of several design contest in Colombia such as CEMEX contest, and Multiconfort from Saint Gobain .
ON His recent publications there are several articles on the industry magazines and co-Autor of the book “ Risk associated with legionella” published in Brazil 2011 and IAQ guide for Colombia in 2021
Technical Leader of the project in 3 cities in Colombia ( Bogota, Cali and Monteria): Developing the energy & Water efficient code for public and private buildings of the BEA ( Building Efficiency Accelerator program of the WRI – World Resources Institute). And the training program associated.
