Dan Slone

Dan Slone is an attorney and consultant with over 35 years experience. After being with a large firm for most of his professional life, he founded Vertical Vision with a partner. Dan has represented the USGBC since 1998. He also represents EcoDistricts. He represented the World Green Building Council from its creation until 2017. He has twice been awarded the WGBC's Chair Award. He also represented the Congress for the New Urbanism from its founding until he went on the board from 20011 until 2017. In 2018 he was made a Fellow of the CNU. He has served on numerous other boards of organizations focused on sustainability, resilience and urbanism. Dan represents innovative startups, developers, non-profits and localities as they seek to create new approaches to utilities, place making and green products. He speaks around the world and has written on a broad range of subjects. Most recently he has begun focusing on design of human habitat to help wildlife thrive.
