David Haight

Mr. Haight is an urban planner and project manager with over 41 years of
experience in the planning, design, and permitting of a wide range of
commercial, office, and residential sites and subdivisions, and the planning
and design of community infrastructure, including roadways and urban streets,
bicycle/pedestrian and parking facilities, stormwater management facilities,
sanitary sewer and potable water systems, and with construction management
for projects. He has been employed with Atkins North America (formerly PBS&J)
since 1995.

He has worked with land owners, developers, real estate brokers, national and
local franchises, and institutional development managers for many years,
assisting with the planning, design, analysis, and permitting of major
projects, including Florida Developments of Regional Impact (DRI), planned
unit developments (PUD), and master planned communities. He has specialized
experience with development negotiations, zoning and comprehensive planning
review and representation, eminent domain issues, transportation planning and
design, and state and local regulatory review processes. Formerly a project
manager and office manager with another planning and engineering consulting
firm and development entities, Mr. Haight also provides experience in project
design and development management, contract administration, and construction

He has earned a BA in Studio Art (Fine art photography) from Florida State
University (1983) and MSP in Urban and Regional Planning also from Florida
State University (1985). He also taught as a Planner in Residence in the FSU
Department of Urban and Regional Planning (1988-1993) and since that time as
an adjunct at FSU. He is a member of the American Planning Association and
was elected in 2014 to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of
