With over two decades of experience in architecture, operations, sustainability, and construction, I’ve dedicated my career to advancing environmental responsibility and innovative solutions in the built environment. In my current role as Director of Sustainable Construction at HITT Contracting, I lead sustainability initiatives nationwide, driving carbon neutrality, regulatory compliance, and green building strategies across a $5.6 billion portfolio spanning 14 national markets. Leveraging my extensive background, I oversee the company’s sustainable construction operations, ensuring adherence to the highest environmental standards. Supported by a high-performing team, we focus on reducing HITT’s environmental impact while optimizing operational efficiency. Previously, as Director of Sustainability at Clark Construction Group, I led the company’s sustainability strategy, contributing to its ranking as the nation’s second-leading Green Builder by delivering more than 90 LEED-certified projects to its 520 green buildings portfolio. I also pioneered Clark’s Embodied Carbon Program, helping the company significantly reduce its carbon footprint. My architectural background has equipped me to apply problem-solving skills across various sectors, including government, non-profit, and private. I’m actively involved in sustainability policy as a co-chair of the U.S. General Services Administration’s Green Building Advisory Committee and as a member of the USGBC LEED Steering Committee. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and dual Master’s Degrees from Columbia University in Architecture and Urban Design and Public Administration, focusing on Environmental Science and Policy. My journey reflects a deep commitment to sustainable practices and leadership in the construction industry.
