Flavia Toniolo brings more than 15 years of experience, working with the private and public sector, as well as non-profit and academia. Flavia is currently Jacobs' Director of Global Sustainability & Resilience Advisory, assisting the public and private sectors to develop and implement their sustainability and resilience programming, ESG reporting, and strategies to achieve Net Zero. Within the public sector, Flavia led sustainability efforts at the City of Miami Beach, incorporating sustainability, resilience and equity into capital improvement projects, operations and regulations. Flavia has developed and implemented policies, innovating zoning codes (e.g. green building, urban heat island policies), while creating funding mechanisms (e.g. Miami Beach's Sustainability Fund). Flavia also led the design and implementation of nature-based infrastructure (e.g., living shorelines) and alternative modes of transportation (e.g., beachwalks) projects. At NOAA, Flavia advised on the implementation of policies and strategic management for sustainable fisheries in Florida and the Caribbean. On the non-profit side, Flavia has effectively developed fundraising pipelines and contributed to conservation programs in LATAM for The Nature Conservancy.

Flavia is a PMP, a LEED-AP BD+C, WELL AP, ENV SP and a WEDG Associate. She holds a BS in Oceanography, a MA in Marine Affairs and Policy and an MBA.
