Gautami Palanki

Gautami is passionate about driving climate action in the built environment, by translating insights from data into action by people. Gautami brings over a decade of technical experience in the science of designing and operating buildings for better performance. She is driven to deliver better environments through engagement, creativity and a desire for excellence.

Gautami leads product development and global implementation of the buildings' performance score, for Arc (; a data driven performance scoring platform. She collaborates actively on development of LEED v 4.1 O+M, LEED for Transit. Arc + schools, Net Zero and efficiency benchmarking programs. She’s lead product adoption since the platform's launch, leveraging her experience in high performance architectural design, sustainability reporting, green building certifications and technology implementation.

Prior to Arc, Gautami led sustainability strategy consulting for AtSite Inc.; including deployment of data acquisition hardware and software systems, audits and analytics to drive optimization and occupant engagement programs. She led LEED and Energy Star certifications for regional and national portfolios.

Gautami started her career as an architectural designer at RTKL, developing culturally and environmentally sensitive design schemes for mixed use and hospitality complexes, in India, Dubai, South Korea, US. She represented RTKL on the industry advisory board for the Center for Built Environment at University California Berkeley.

Gautami has discussed and written about the intersection of data, climate action and the built environment at platforms globally at Greenbuild, Greenbuild Mexico, Greenbuild India, BOMA Intl conference and Expo, IFMA's World Workplace, Greenbuilding Brasil, among others.

Gautami is the co-chair of the Women In Green committee for USGBC's NCR community and serves on the jury recognizing sustainability champions including; the annual Awards of Excellence for USGBC's community and the BOLD awards.

A licensed architect and LEED AP, she received her B.Arch from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India and M.S. in Sustainable Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
