Heather Goetsch

Heather Goetsch is an advocate for a sustainable future and has pursued this personal mission by working in the nonprofit sector for the past seven years. She is an organized and efficient project manager, deliberate and flexible decision maker, and team-oriented and collaborative leader. Heather has worked in several aspects of sustainability, including food systems, transportation, and green building. Heather currently works as a manager for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and plays a critical role supporting engagement in the U.S., such as the Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! Award, annual volunteer recruitment campaigns, and USGBC’s social equity programs. Before her current position, Heather ran programs and events, and managed volunteers for USGBC in the states of Wisconsin and Iowa. She is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and serves on the organization’s Leadership Development Task Force, a group tasked with strategizing methods to foster future leaders within APA. Heather also volunteers as a Career Coach with Inspire Southeast Wisconsin. She earned a B.S. in Conservation and Environmental Science and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and holds a LEED Green Associate Credential.
