Jace serves as a policy advisor to the Governor of North Dakota. His policy portfolio covers agencies from the Department of Commerce and Department of Transportation to Game and Fish and Parks and Recreation. Jace helps to lead one of the Governor's five strategic initiatives, the Main Street Initiative (MSI). This initiative is focused on created healthy, vibrant communities, using smart efficient infrastructure to help attract and retain a 21st century workforce. Jace helped to develop the MSI listen tour and Main Street Summit in February 2018, which brought together over 700 citizens from 68 North Dakota Communities. He continues to utilize what they have learned from communities to develop policy recommendations for the Governor.

Prior to his time with the State of North Dakota, Jace served as the Director of Scheduling and Advance for the Doug Burgum for North Dakota campaign and served as an advance associate for the Executive Office of the President. Jace began his career teaching 5th - 12th grade in Mayville, ND. Jace was born and raised in Grand Forks, ND. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from North Dakota State University.
