Jennifer Taranto

Jenn has been working in the commercial real estate and
construction industry since 1999. She sits on the Board of Directors for the USGBC
Massachusetts Chapter, is on the Chapter’s Executive Committee, is the
Chair of the Membership Committee, is the Immediate Past Chair of the Chapter
and is also a member of the USGBC New York chapter.

Jenn serves as Structure Tone’s Director of Sustainability, a key component
of the team on any project. Her ability to manage and lead subcontractors
through the LEED process comes from her previous background as a
superintendent and a project manager. Jenn understands the importance of
creating awareness at the early stages of the project with the
subcontractor’s in order to succeed in meeting the client’s
sustainability goals. Additionally, she understands the importance of being
an active partner during the preconstruction integrated design process on
projects that have sustainable goals.

By incorporating the principals of sustainability into everyday work
practices Jenn has implemented best practices in several business units
across the organization. As the instructor for Structure Tone’s corporate
LEED AP training program, she is familiar with both LEED BD&C as well as LEED
ID&C. Jenn serves in an additional capacity as the leader of the Structure
Tone organization’s corporate sustainability task force.

A leader when it comes to demonstrating social responsibility, Jenn has
lectured at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Boston University. She has
spoken for several organizations including Corenet Global, the Junior League
as well as at the Labs21 conference.
