John has more than 27 years of experience designing, constructing and commissioning building systems. He has served as the LEED consultant and commissioning authority on over 80 projects, and most recently has led his team in the development of a greenhouse gas emissions tracking software. A former member of the USGBC LEED Faculty, he also served as Vice Chair of the Indoor Environmental Quality Technical Advisory Group. John served as the president of the Atlanta Chapter of ASHRAE for 2009-2010. He has also been an active participant in shaping ASHRAE guidelines at a national level, previously serving as vice-chair of the SSPC 62.1 committee for maintaining ASHRAE Standard 62.1 Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality.

John is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia, as well as several other states. He is a Certified Commissioning Provider, a Certified Energy Manager, a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the Building Commissioning Association.
