Jose D Salinas

Jose was Born in Santiago, Chile. His primary and secondary studies were at
the Instituto Nacional. He was graduated as officer at the Military School,
he was Licenced as Pilot of light airplanes, he is Engineer of the Military
Polytechnic Academy, and Master of Science of The Universty of Warwick, UK.
Jose worked at the armament industry and was Systems Engineer and Reliability
Engineer for the Commissioning of a Rocket Launcher System. In the year 2000
was recruited by the United Nations as Weapons Inspector for the disarmement
of Iraq.
In 2004 left the UN, and two years Later joined Poch and Associates where he
works as
Project Manager in Buildings Sustainability and LEED Certification.he is LEED
AP and LEED AP BD+C. Professor at the Military Polytechnic Academy, and
lecturer at the University of Santiago.
Jose has directed several LEED Certification Projecs such as four Children rehab centers, the design stage of the Costanera Center Complex in Santiago de Chile, the highest building in South America; the new IBM Datacenter in Santiago, the ITAU Bank Building, the Carozzi Pastas and Cookies Manufacturing Plant, including plants and administrative facilities buildings. Jose has trained several LEED professionals, and has developed several talks and seminars on LEED certification.
