Kate Tart is an architect and consultant currently working with IWBI. Prior to working with IWBI, Kate spent over 11 years with GBCI. She previously served as the Director of WELL Certification at GBCI where she managed the day to day operations of the certification process for all projects pursing WELL Certification. This includes managing GBCI’s in house team of WELL Reviewers and Performance Testing Agents as well as the development and implementation of a global network of contracted WELL Performance Testing Agents. Prior to managing WELL, Kate spent 6 years with GBCI working on LEED Certification in a variety of roles including as a Team Lead, a Certification Reviewer and serving as the subject matter expert for multiple building and campus projects including large corporate campuses, university and educational institutes, airports and international developments. Kate has also worked at a variety of architecture firms and a property management company where she coordinated the LEED Certification of the companies real estate portfolio. Kate is a licensed architect, WELL AP and LEED AP. She is a former chair of the AIA Austin Committee on the Environment. Kate holds a Bachelors in Architectural studies from the University of Washington and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
