Lindsey Robinett Shaw has been with Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection for over 8 years, serving as the Section Chief for Buildings and Transportation Programs and the Commercial Energy Program Manager prior to this Manager role. Her primary role is to implement the climate mitigation activities outlined in the Climate Action Plan while supporting energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability programming for businesses and residents in the County.

Prior to joining Montgomery County DEP, Lindsey worked for Eastern Research Group for seven years as an Energy and Environmental Data Analyst and Manager for federal government clients. As a consultant to EPA's Sustainable and Transportation Solutions Branch, Lindsey supported the energy, water, and GHG emissions reporting for EPA's owned laboratories and leased office properties across the country. She assisted with energy and water consumption forecasting and tracking of infrastructure upgrade projects.

Lindsey served on the Board of the USGBC-NCR Market Leadership Advisory Board from November 2016 to July 2022, where she served as the liaison to the Montgomery County committee.

Lindsey earned her B.A. in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University in January 2007, and later achieved her M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University in August 2013. She also holds a Certificate of Proficiency in Building Benchmarking, awarded January 2016, and attained the designation of LEED AP O+M in September 2016.
