Luis Rodriguez-Benitez

Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., graduated from the School of Architecture & Environmental Studies, at the City College of New York (CCNY), with a BS in Arch.
Living in Puerto Rico since 1981, after relocating from NYC, while working with the Disaster Assistance Office of the Small Business Administration, as a Construction Analyst.
In 1987, went on to work with the US Department of the Navy, as a Construction Representative, at the Roosevelt Roads Naval Base, Ceiba, Puerto Rico.
In 1990, I entered the environmental engineering field with Applied Geosciences and Environmental Services (AGES), Inc., as Senior Staff Scientist, specializing in hydrogeology, soil & groundwater sampling, assessments and remediation; and, with Induchem Environmental Services, Inc., as a Division Manager, overseeing emergency response and underground storage tank removal and assessments.
Since 2001, I've been working in the hotel industry as an engineer, beginning at the Water Club in Isla Verde, El Convento Hotel in Old San Juan and presently, at the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Rio Grande, all in Puerto Rico.
