Patrick Keal

Patrick Keal is the government affairs director for Big Ass Fans. His responsibilities include overseeing all government-related initiatives and legislative outreach. Prior to Big Ass Fans, Keal served as a special assistant to the Kentucky secretary of state for nearly three years, working on bipartisan issues, helping to draft legislation and teaching students how to engage with government. Keal is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he received his Bachelors of Science in Organizational Communications and a minor in Islamic Studies. He is a member of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Policy Council, Smart Business Council, Competitiveness Council and Energy and Environment Council; a member of the Alliance to Save Energy’s Policy and Programs Committee and Energy Efficiency Coalition; and a member of Commerce Lexington’s Public Policy Council. Furthermore, he is a member of several National Association of Manufacturing committees, including the Energy and Natural Resources, Regulation Policy, Tax and Budget Policy and Technology Policy committees. Keal is currently in his second year of a three year appointment as a manufacturing representative on the US Department of Energy’s Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee.
