Peter Doo, FAIA, LEED Fellow, is a Special Advisor to Lorax Partnerships LLC. Lorax Partnerships acquired Doo Consulting in 2022. Peter founded Doo Consulting LLC, in 2007. For fifteen years, Doo Consulting provided sustainability planning as well as green building certification administration services. He is a recognized leader in the sustainability industry with experience assisting companies and project teams meet their sustainability goals. Peter has served on the State of Maryland Green Building Council and the Baltimore City Sustainability Commission. A 2009 recipient of the Maryland Daily Record “Innovator of the Year” award, Peter is recognized for founding the Maryland Chapter of USGBC and for his leadership in the development of many State and City sustainability initiatives. He is a Past-Chair of the Northeast Corridor Regional Council of the US Green Building Council and former USGBC National Chapter Steering Committee member. He is a past president of the Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and a member of its College of Fellows. As an architect, Peter has designed LEED certified, LEED equivalent and net-zero energy projects. As a consultant, he brings this experience to assist design teams in developing creative, project specific and appropriate strategies for sustainability and LEED certification. Peter also assists clients in crafting policy and implementation plans for achieving organizational sustainability goals. His firm, Doo Consulting LLC, has worked on over 200 buildings certifications under LEED and other green building rating systems. The firm also provides environmental and social responsibility assessments to businesses seeking to improve their performance metrics and their bottom line. Peter speaks regularly to schools, businesses, and associations on issues of green buildings and sustainable development.
