Hello world

Ruby Rose Sanchez

Assisting with the design and construction of Efficient Healthy structures is my passion. I started my career with buildings when I was a toddler playing with Lego's. In 2006 I graduated with a Bachelor in Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. I am currently a Sustainability Consultant with Partner Energy working on projects all over the country.

I have been working in the construction industry since 2004, and began my Sustainability Career with my first LEED NC project in 2007. I became a LEED AP in 2009 and shortly after a LEED for Homes Green Rater. Since then, I have worked on over 30 Green projects, with 11 LEED Certified before 2013. Most of my work has been focused on the multifamily industry, in which I have assisted with certifying over 300 affordable units and 400 market rate units.

I guide clients through the design and construction process of their projects, from the energy modeling to construction field verifications, HERS testing and final submittal for several certification programs such as LEED, GreenPoint Rated, Energy Star and Enterprise Green Communities. I have also assisted clients with funding and rebate programs such as The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC), New Solar Homes Partnership (NSHP), California Advanced Homes Program (CAHP), Savings by Design (SBD) and Energy Upgrade California.

My experience thus far has provided me with well rounded knowledge of energy efficiency measures and how they affect project costs and their feasibility. This has allowed me to use my expertise to guide clients through their project process as stress free as possible. I am proactive about providing the necessary tools to the project team to keep their project schedule easy-flowing and on time.

Understanding the impact of buildings on human beings is what makes me continue to work hard and educate those around me on sustainability. We spend more than 90% of our lives in buildings: eating, shopping, learning, working, sleeping, etc., and I want to help implement the measures and strategies needed to create a healthy space for people to inhabit.

I am currently the Events Chair for the USGBC LA Chapter - San Gabriel Valley Branch actively hosting events to bring together like minded professionals to network. Also, in wanting to bring Green Awareness to my community, I host a Green Apple Day of Service event in my local neighborhood which focuses on promoting healthy living and learning environments.
