Scott Robert Miller, LEED AP, MSc is the Director of Business
Development at the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. Previously, he was the Director of Business Development at MindClick Global, where he
promoted procurement and supply chain transparency through manufacturing
compliance, eco-certifications, GRI, CDP, and human rights policies. Most
notably, he won the manufacturer contracts that led Marriott
International to achieve its 2013 responsible sourcing goal. For more than 10
years, Scott has been driving environmental projects to embed triple bottom
line strategies across the hospitality, financial services and manufacturing

He was featured in James Cameron’s Emmy winning climate change docu-series
Years of Living Dangerously for his EDF Climate Corp fellowship at Caesars
Entertainment and for auditing The Honest Company on energy, water and waste
and presenting his findings to co-founders Jessica Alba and Christopher
Gavigan. Scott saved Caesars over $350k in operating costs and 3,400 metric
tons of CO2 emissions per year through developing LED lighting and variable
frequency drive energy efficiency strategies.

As a recognized leader in sustainability and supply chain best practice,
Scott has been quoted in Institutional Investor Magazine, Hotel Business
Magazine, Real Estate Finance Intelligence, Green Hotelier, and Green Lodging
News. As a Vice President of marketing at OppenheimerFunds, he surveyed 1000+
employees, identifying value of sustainability, creating Go Green Committee,
and gaining CEO buy-in.

Scott also speaks regularly on climate change, recycling and composting to
community residents through being trained by Al Gore to deliver his Climate
Reality Project and by the Dept. of Sanitation NY’s Waste Less program.

Scott holds an MSc in Sustainability Management from Columbia University as
well as a BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. He
also holds a LEED Accredited Professional designation, is GRI V4 trained and
held his FINRA Series 7,24, and 66 securities licenses.

He has served in leadership roles for and is currently the
Co-Chair of The Earth Institute Leadership Council under Jeffrey Sachs. Scott
currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and is often seen riding his
bike just about everywhere.
