Stephen Brooks

Glynco, GA

Stephen W. Brooks is currently the Chief of the Assets and Logistics Division
at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) Glynco campus. In
addition to have oversight responsibility for the management and disposal of
personal property and Fleet management, he now leads the development and
expansion of the recycling program for the FLETC.
Under his oversight and in collaboration with the FLETC Sustainability
Officer and the Glynco Training Directorates (GTD) Firearms Division (FAD),
the recycling/diversion rate has gone from approximately 37% to 100% . This
has resulted not only a paradigm shift from thinking everything is trash, to
one that everything is recyclable and is a potential source of revenue.
Stephen is a noted speaker in the area of recycling having spoken the 2016 &
2017 Southeastern Environmental & Recycling Conference in San Destin, FL, the
2015 & 2017 Georgia Recycling Coalition Conference St. Simons Island, the
2016 Georgia Environmental Conference Jekyll Island, the 2017 Environmental
Show of the South in Chattanooga, TN. He has bee invited to present at the
6th International Recycling Conference November 2017 in Las Vegas, NV and the
2018 International Recycling Congress in berlin, Germany.
Stephen has written and published professional articles on Recycling.

Stephen holds an earned Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of
Law and is graduate of the U.S. Naval War College's Command and Staff
program.
Stephen currently sits on the Steering Committee of the Georgia Environmental Conference
